What we collect, and what we don't.
Plain-language version of how Nutch handles your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If anything here is unclear, email info@nutch.ai and we'll fix it.
Who we are
Nutch BV, based in Belgium (Antwerp / Leuven). For all data-protection questions contact info@nutch.ai. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
When you submit the form on this site, we collect:
- Your name, so we don't email you "Hi there".
- Your email, so we can send your invite.
- Your audience type (operator / founder / co-builder), so we can route you sensibly.
- What you're looking for (free text), only what you choose to write.
- Consent record, that you ticked the box and when.
We do not collect cookies, run analytics, fingerprint your browser, or share your details with advertisers. This page sets no tracking cookies.
When you email info@nutch.ai
Anything you send us, including co-builder applications, is processed only to reply to you and to assess applications. We don't share it with third parties.
Why we collect it (lawful basis)
- Waitlist signup: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Co-builder applications: pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)), i.e. handling your application.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are received and stored by Formspree, Inc. (USA), our processor for form handling. Data transfer to the US is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. Email correspondence is handled via our email provider.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until you ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after our public launch, whichever comes first.
- Co-builder applications: up to 12 months after the role is filled, then deleted.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to:
- See what we hold about you (right of access, Art. 15).
- Correct anything inaccurate (Art. 16).
- Delete it, the "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17).
- Export it in a machine-readable format (Art. 20).
- Withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7), as easy as ticking the box was.
- Object to processing or restrict it (Art. 18, 21).
Email info@nutch.ai with the request. We'll respond within 30 days (usually much sooner). If you're not happy with our reply, you can complain to your local EU data protection authority, for Belgium that's the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.
Changes to this notice
If we update this notice in any meaningful way, we'll change the date at the top and, if you're on the waitlist, email you about it.
